Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Trivia Trivia Time ("the app", "we", "us"), developed by Joseph Foss, handles your information. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

The app is designed to collect as little as possible. Trivia questions and your solo game progress are stored locally on your device. If you choose to host or join live games, you create a public handle (a display name of your choosing). This handle and your game scores are synced through Apple's iCloud/CloudKit so that other players can see standings during shared games.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

iCloud / CloudKit

Live game handles, scores, standings, and host profiles are stored in Apple's CloudKit, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. This data is used solely to run the multiplayer features of the app. You can play the solo and daily modes without creating a handle.

Reporting Content

If you report a question, that report is sent through CloudKit so we can review it. A report includes the question involved and an optional reason you provide; it does not include personal information beyond your handle.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Deletion

Your local progress is removed if you delete the app. To request removal of a handle or scores stored in CloudKit, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
